What a day.

If you would have told me 10 years ago that I could have such a packed Saturday, sailed through the day and laid down happy and exhausted at the end of the day I would have laughed in your face. We stared in the yard early morning, hauled some old cut branches to the P.C. dump. Cleaned up the yard and got it ready to mow. We put A.J. on the riding mower at a slow pace and she mowed 3/4 of the lawn. She loved it, although her back side is hardly heavy enough to weigh down the seat. This is required to keep the power connection and keep the engine running... it is so if you fall off, the engine quites. Mike and I started on the last part of our garden we are converting into grass. Too large of garden means too many weeds. Mike tilled, I raked and the boys played. We paused twice for two soccer games in the day. Mike went golfing early in the evening and I went grocery shopping while the kids played with the neighbors. Mike came home and started the little motorcycle for the first time this spring and they all took a turn riding it through the yard. Dinner was served at 8:30 and the kids were sad we said no to a camp fire in the back yard. Yikes, we were tooooo tired. My face is a little crispy from the sunshine and the kids slept soundly. It was a great day. Smiles all the way:)
