Catching Up

This week is seems like everything I do is in preperation for my surgery tomorrow. Laundry-Make sure it is done, Grocery shopping-get done or family may starve- Clean house, so to slow the progress of impending mess. Ahhh. This morning I spent on Deans fieldtrip to the treehouse museum. Great fun. And tonight Mother/daughter night with the school and the PTA at fat cats bowling. Whatta day. The hospital called and it seems my surgery is scheduled for sometime after NOON- Which means... all morning for more laundry, cooking cleaning, aranging, worrying. Ug. This week has been great though... I really feel like I am ready. Thanks for listening. Oh the picture... it has been 60 degrees today, HDOY for us for sure. I can't wait for the summer, My knee will be strong and I'll be ready to brave the White Waters of the Snake once again. This is Mike on a one man kayak floating through the "Big Kahuna" I can't wait!!!

Saturday

Our saturday was spent like most weekends. Stuff, soccer, soccer, stuff....

We spent the morning (4 hrs) at our cities founders day celebration helping in the kithcen, buying stuff at the bake sale and eatn'. Then two indoor soccer games. Here is a cute snapshot of AJ (she is of course AJ on to court or field) and her teammates.

Friday

Our preschool had a great fun fieldtrip to the dino park. It has always been a favorite in our family. Can you think of a better blast than taking a fieldtrip- just you and a preschooler- anywhere. We had a yotta pun! Above Dunc is sitting on a brontasaurus foot, and comparing his had to a dinos. Love it.

Thursday

Haven't posted in a week but I haven't forgotten about you. I have been taking pictures. Great things are happening everywhere. Thursday night was the achievement fair at the elementry school. The kids (and Parents) work really hard doing their best work and then the set it out to dispay the art and reports- and then the parents can come and see their works and buy it back. It is a great way to earn money for the school:/ ( can you hear my sarcasm?) This is my kids achievements.

proof of spring

Duncan shows off the Pussy Willow he got from his preschoold teacher. Thanks Mrs Loveland.

Great Weekend

On Saturday, our friends from the old neighborbood had us over to their house for dinner. We had some super yummy Asparagas soup and cream of veggies soup. They made this mosaic from scratch to put above their entertainment center. It is awesome so I thought I would share. On Sundy, I visited family and took my camera on the road. This silly picture of a car zooming through the intersection looked nifty to me. Hope you like it.

12 Years Today!

Who would have thought that time could pass so quickly. Today My sweetheart and I celebrate our anniversary. 12 stinkin' years. Holy smokes! We went to dinner with some friends of ours. They have been great new friends since moving to plain city. Keven is celebrating his 32nd birthday this week and their fourth anniversary was on Wednesday, so we all had a reason to celebrate. We had a great dinner topped off by a Wii party at the house.

A Place in the Sun

The snow is melting slowly in my back yard. Spring is springing and my dogs are happy. Daisy has found the sun and "her spot" she claimed last summer. The sun beats on the shed and reflects onto the ground-not to mention her black hair is the perfect place for it to land. Many hours in the house this winter has been hard on her and me. Our new miniature dachshund puppy mix (7 months old) Penney can't understand why Daisy won't play. Daisy's favorite thing to do is sleep. Penney loves to run and explore and sniff. She is always buggin' her. We got her in October, tiny and timid, now she is bold and excited. The big yard is great for her. The snow has been here since thanksgiving. I am looking forward to warmer days and so are these dogs.

Tuesdays

Tuesdays are my busy days. Volunteering at the school with my Dean and his class first thing, church meeting after that and then after lunch I usually grocery shop. I enjoy it and I get a lot of good stuff done. Dean is always so excited to have me. I love the smile I get each time I go- It seems I am the best mom in the whole class for just one moment. Thanks Dean. (another mom took this for us at the school)

Beautiful Colors

Looking at my fall pictures, things from my yard is only a reminder of how excited I am for spring. Out west, we have some beautiful sunsets across the sprawling landscape and I am excited to share these as well as my first signs of spring incuding my apple trees and maybe my garden and my ever-growing, ever-eating kids and the lawn I love to hate to mow. Off to laundry.

Life is beautiful

i love Margaret's example, every day holds suprises and can be exciting. Wait for fun new pictures comming very soon.

Starting today

My greatest friend Margaret has a beautiful family. Her blog has inspired mine. Maybe keeping in touch is easier in pictures. Seeing her childrens pictures helps me to understand how much I have missed. So I will share and get in touch. Thanks Margaret... And hoping you all might be interested too.
